The above cymbidium came from the farmer's market in Carpinteria (for $10). We are fortunate to have many growers in our area, giving us an adundance of fruit, vegetables, and flowers grown locally.
The board will meet on Tuesday, March 20 from noon to one, at the University Club. Board meetings are open to all members. The meeting place for the Santa Monica Creek Trail Beautification Project in Carpinteria next month (April 14) is at the west end of El Carro, as shown on the map below. We'll be planting native plants and dispersing mulch. To get there from Santa Barbara, travel south on 101, exit Carpinteria Avenue. Turn left at the light. Then travel straight, past the stop sign, to El Carro where you turn left. Proceed to the end of the street. RSVP with Ray Kolbe at (805) 705-3429 for lunch. Brings shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, etc.
